Included Services

Rehabilitation
Physical, occupational, and speech therapists work seven days a week to help residents regain functioning and increase mobility, strength, and independence with activities of daily living. Our therapists work with each person individually on care plans that have been designed in conjunction with his/her physician and/or orthopedic surgeon. As treatment progresses, we track improvement and discuss therapeutic goals with each person and his/her family. Most of the residents that are admitted to our facility for rehab are able to return home or back to their assisted living facilities after treatment.

Restorative Therapy
As an adjunct to therapies, restorative nursing offers services that promote indepence via movement programs, range of motion exercises, and restorative dining. In addition, our therapists provide input to our Activity team to suggest activities that might help residents improve their functioning without even realizing that they’re in “treatment.” In this way, rehabilitation doesn’t stop when a resident leaves the therapy room—they can continue to improve as they enjoy lots of fun and interesting activities throughout their stay.

Bariatric Facilities
Often, residents with obesity find it difficult to locate a comfortable place to rehabilitate. For those residents with bariatric issues, we offer specialized beds, chairs, wheelchairs, and shower facilities.

Pre-Operative Schedualing
If you’re planning a surgery, such as a joint replacement, heart valve repair, or other surgery, MediLodge is a great choice for your post-surgical rehabilitation. Please call today to schedule a pre-op visit to our facility, which we offer prior to admission. Your free visit will include:

List Item Touring our facility and rehabilitation area
List Item Meeting our care team, including the rehabilitation team
List Item Discussing your therapy program and rehabilitation goals
List Item Completing pre-admission paperwork, which helps ensure a smooth transition to our facility
List Item Beginning discharge planning prior to admission

Once you are discharged from the hospital, we will be ready with a rehabilitation plan customized by your doctor and tailored to you. We then work with you to help you achieve your goals for regaining functioning.

Special Unit and Structured Day Program for Residents With Dementia
Residents with dementia need a little extra help navigating the routines of daily life. Predictability, structure, and familiar faces help ease their confusion and anxiety, making their days easier and more enjoyable. Our Dementia Unit provides this environment. In addition, this unit, while not locked, is housed in a closed door area of the building. With a cozy dining room and a lovely patio, residents have a comfortable, friendly area that feels more like home.
